Getting started

Unit setupFind your Vallox unit's IP address from your router's device list, then enter it under Settings > Vallox unit > Change IP.Ventilation profilesThe unit runs one of several profiles (Home, Away, Boost, Fireplace), each with its own stored fan speed and supply target.Connection issuesIf the app can't reach your Vallox unit, check that your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the unit and that the IP address in Settings still matches the unit's address on your router.

Devices & home

Other ventilation brands (beta)Settings → Other units adds Enervent, Komfovent, Pluggit, Systemair or Helios over the local network (Modbus TCP), plus extra Vallox units.Power meters & smart plugsSettings → Power meters adds Shelly, Tasmota, TP-Link Kasa/Tapo, ESPHome or FRITZ!DECT purely for measurement.Personalize devicesOn the Devices tab each brand groups under its own logo — Shelly first, then power meters and ventilation units.Home profileRules tab → Home profile describes your house: area, floors, occupants and their daytime-away window, rooms with supply/extract terminals and duct sizes.Filter maintenanceReplace the supply and extract air filters roughly every 3-6 months, more often in dusty environments.Free cooling from outside airThe exchanger recovers heat, which is exactly wrong on a warm summer night — so the unit routes supply air around it instead of through it.When the exchanger has to thawIn hard frost the extract side of the exchanger ices up, and the unit pauses recovery until it has melted — the dashboard shows Defrosting while that happens.

Widgets & Apple Watch

Home & lock-screen widgetsAdd the Ventaurio widget from the home screen or lock screen, then open Settings → Widgets to configure it: pick what each ring shows (fan, air quality, efficiency, CO₂, humidity or filter life), the four stat chips on the medium widget, and the two temperatures on the small one.Apple Watch appThe watch app mirrors your unit: swipe through status, control (profile, fan speed, boost timer), metrics, 24-hour air and temperature charts, savings and the daily AI tip.Watch-face complicationsLong-press your watch face → Edit → add an Ventaurio complication.Alerts & notificationsTurn on Alerts in Settings to be notified about filter changes due, high CO₂ or humidity, faults and the unit going offline — even while the app is closed.

What Pro unlocksPro unlocks the AI advisor and filter monitoring, advanced statistics with cost and tariffs, the monthly report, smart rules (geofencing, night eco, auto-boost, weather scenarios), the week program with AI optimization, cloud access and Google Drive backup.Face ID protectionExpert settings, week-program editing and its settings sit behind Face ID / Touch ID or your passcode — on by default where the device supports it.Backup & transferSettings → Backup saves your setup (unit & Shelly, smart rules and thresholds, statistics, preferences) to a hidden app folder on your Google Drive, or exports a .vhbak file to share.
