What holds an automation back

Auto-boost (Smart Rules → Auto-Boost) never acts on a single sample. The trigger has to hold for two minutes — a shower plume, or somebody standing at the extract grille, passes in less — and once a boost ends the rule rests fifteen minutes before another may start, so the house cannot spend its day at boost speed. The release point sits a margin below the trigger, so a reading hovering on the line cannot re-arm the rule at every poll.

When the outdoor air is unhealthy to draw in — high PM2.5 or a heavy pollen count — the boost is suppressed quietly, unless CO₂ is above 2000 ppm, where stale air indoors is the greater harm. Minimum hourly air is the opposite guard: switch it on and an hour of idling earns a ten-minute purge.
