With Pro the app can move an air filter's date by what the air outside has actually been doing since it was fitted — pollen and particulates measured near your home, never a forecast. It is capped in both directions, it touches air filters only, and it needs a position you gave it: no position, no network, or a reading too old all leave the date exactly where it was.
